The Book of the Dead was a collection of spells designed to guide the dead person through the dangers of the underworld and ensure everlasting life. Now you and your family can follow the ancient Egyptians' journey from death to the afterlife in this once in a lifetime exhibition at the British Museum. Explore beautifully illustrated spells on papyrus and linen alongside other objects including amulets, jewellery, statutes, coffins and mummies; some of these are more than 3500 years old! 
Your own journey during this fantastic exhibition will take you from burying a mummy in the tomb all the way through to the scene of judgement and hopefully beyond. The Book of the Dead will help you to be in command of your special powers so you can avoid disaster along the way. Enjoy a special introductory film made exclusively for young visitors and take you can take part in an interactive trail through the trials of the underworld.

The exhibition runs from 4th November to 6th March but Holiday Inn has access to exclusive exhibition times in the weekend. Your package will include your hotel room and your choice of exhibition time on either the Saturday or Sunday (see times for each day below). 
Admission times Exhibition runs from the 4th November 2010 to the 6th March 2011, the session times available for this package are: Saturday 12.00 and 3.00pm *Children under 16 free when accompanied by a paying adult.
